This Valentine’s Day Love Bug Treat Box is the perfect gift of love for teachers, grandparents, neighbours and special friends.
Materials Needed:
- White pom poms
- Foam heart stickers
- Pipe cleaner of any colour
- Googly eyes of any size and colour
- Small “take-out container” treat box
- Craft glue or a hot glue gun if this craft is being done by an adult
Steps 1 & 2
1) Wrap the pipe cleaner around a pencil so it’s coiled like little Love Bug antenna. Pull the pipe cleaner off the pencil and cut into 4 even sized pieces.
2) Turn the foam heart upside down so the curve of the heart becomes the feet of the Love Bug.
3) Glue on the Love Bug antenna, eyes and nose. Use a small piece of pipe cleaner for the nose.
4) Glue the Love Bug’s body onto the “feet”
5) Write a message or have your child draw a picture on the treat box.
6) Peel the backing off the heart sticker and stick your Love Bug on the treat box. If you’re using foam hearts that aren’t stickers you can just glue or tape the Love Bug in place.
This Valentine’s Day Treat Box is the perfect size to fill with a gift card, candies or a small gift. It’s a cute, fun and affordable solution to Valentine’s Day gift giving.
